The past few months have been exceptionally busy, with various performances and events taking place. August began with the annual National Eisteddfod being held in Anglesey, during which I was made a member of the Orsedd y Beirdd. This was a huge privilege to be made a member of a group consisting so many important people connected to the arts in Wales.
September brought with it new challenges, including performing in Chester Cathedral’s Organ Marathon. This was followed with the end of my Master’s degree, which concluded with a public recital held in Prichard-Jones Hall, Bangor University. The evening of music commemorated 500 years since Martin Luther published in thesis sparking the Protestant Reformation. It was wonderful to see so many people attend the recital.
Last week I made a short trip to London. During my stay, I received a masterclass from world-renowned organist, Simon Johnson (Organist of St. Paul’s Cathedral). I was also given the opportunity to play the organ of St. Mary-Le-Bow Church and St. Paul’s Cathedral, and experience I will never forget!
