For me, November always feels particularly odd, as I and other Church musicians anticipate the arrival of Advent and Christmas. Early this month I became accompanist to Cor Dre, a mixed voice choir based in Caernarfon, and am now fully emerged in preparing for the Christmas rush of concerts and a CD recording! Alongside performing with Cor Dre, I will be performing in various concerts and services in the area throughout December. Following Christmas, I will be the first recitalist at Bangor Cathedral’s 2018 Organ Recital series, 9th January, 13:10. Music to include works by Bach, Franck, and others.

The past few months have been exceptionally busy, with various performances and events taking place. August began with the annual National Eisteddfod being held in Anglesey, during which I was made a member of the Orsedd y Beirdd. This was a huge privilege to be made a member of a group consisting so many important people connected to the arts in Wales.

September brought with it new challenges, including performing in Chester Cathedral’s Organ Marathon. This was followed with the end of my Master’s degree, which concluded with a public recital held in Prichard-Jones Hall, Bangor University. The evening of music commemorated 500 years since Martin Luther published in thesis sparking the Protestant Reformation. It was wonderful to see so many people attend the recital.
